Toyota is recalling approximately 10,000 C-HR electric vehicles in North America. The problem is related to overcharged batteries, which can reduce drive power. One report suggests the recall may cover all C-HR EVs in the region, while another source estimates the number at 8,521. Car and Driver reported the larger total, while Electrek reported the smaller one. The recall was announced on Sept. 10, 2026, and the exact scope remains unclear. Toyota linked the recall to battery overcharging. Both figures are close to 10,000, but the difference between them has not been explained.
